“Met Police Probes Prince Andrew’s Attempts to Discredit Accuser”

Must read

The Metropolitan Police is currently investigating fresh allegations concerning Prince Andrew following the release of a damning email that reportedly shows the former Duke of York trying to discredit his accuser, Virginia Giuffre.

Prince Andrew has consistently refuted claims that he engaged in sexual activities with Virginia Giuffre when she was 17 years old and has denied any wrongdoing. However, his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has continued to tarnish his standing within the Royal Family.

Having stepped back from public duties five years ago, Prince Andrew has now voluntarily given up his titles and honors with the approval of his elder brother, King Charles III. In a statement from Buckingham Palace, Prince Andrew expressed his decision to prioritize his family and country over his titles.

Recent revelations of alleged misconduct have further complicated the situation for the Royal Family in addressing the ongoing scrutiny surrounding Prince Andrew. According to reports from the Mail on Sunday, Prince Andrew allegedly instructed his taxpayer-funded Met bodyguard to investigate Virginia Giuffre, providing personal information in an attempt to discredit her.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that they are actively investigating the claims made against Prince Andrew. Virginia Giuffre’s family, who have verified that she had no criminal record, has called for an inquiry into how Prince Andrew obtained her private information.

In breaking news announced by Victoria Derbyshire during Sunday’s broadcast, the Metropolitan Police disclosed their plans to probe allegations that Prince Andrew instructed his bodyguard to gather information on Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexual misconduct.

Reacting to this development, broadcaster Emily Maitlis, known for her impactful BBC Newsnight interview with Prince Andrew in 2019, expressed her approval of the police inquiry.
