An American mother, dubbed the “worst ever,” has been arrested and charged with sexual assault for allegedly giving birth to a child fathered by her daughter’s 14-year-old school dance partner. Robyn Polston, aged 43, was apprehended by the Washington Police Department on November 3. Legal documents claim that she delivered a baby in January, with the father believed to be her daughter’s teenage acquaintance.
Polston is facing two charges of criminal sexual assault involving a minor aged between 13 and 17, along with two counts of possessing child pornography. If found guilty, she could potentially receive a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison for each offense. Currently, she is in custody without bail and is scheduled for arraignment next month, having not yet entered a plea.
Following a tip-off after the child’s birth, authorities initiated an investigation. A probable cause affidavit reveals that detectives obtained the baby’s birth certificate in February, noting that the infant shared the same middle and last name as the alleged victim.
When questioned about the father’s identity, Polston reportedly identified him as a man named Brian in his twenties, claiming he had lost contact post-birth. Subsequently, DNA samples were collected from Polston, the baby, and the teenager.
The DNA results confirmed that Polston and the teen were indeed the biological parents. Investigators also discovered that Polston had supervised a school dance attended by the teenager and her daughter in May 2023.
A search warrant on Google accounts linked to the teenager’s phone uncovered explicit images and videos involving Polston and the minor, as per the affidavit. Assistant State’s Attorney Cassandra Mullikin reviewed the content, determining that Polston had taken the images.
Allegations suggest that Polston and the minor used burner phones and false names to communicate, aiming to evade detection. Furthermore, it is claimed that Polston tried to persuade the teenager to hide evidence of their relationship.
Prosecutors have requested that Polston be detained until trial, citing concerns about her compliance with orders and potential contact with the teenager. She will remain incarcerated until her court appearance set for December 4.
