A British travel agency specializing in flight and hotel holiday packages has recently declared bankruptcy, resulting in the cancellation of all existing bookings. Regen Central Ltd, established in 2011 in Hertfordshire, ceased operations on January 13, as revealed by official records from Companies House.
The company, which also operated under the names One Haji & Umrah, Regen Travels, and Oneworld Travels, offered vacation packages to various destinations in Europe and Southeast Asia. According to a statement from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Regen Central Ltd, holding an Air Travel Organisers’ Licence (ATOL), no longer trades under this license.
ATOL, a UK scheme overseen by the CAA, ensures financial protection for package holidays, guaranteeing refunds or repatriation for travelers affected by the insolvency of their travel provider. However, it’s important to note that ATOL protection does not extend to accommodation-only or non-flight packages, leaving these bookings without the same refund safeguards.
The CAA clarified that there were no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings with Regen Central Ltd. Therefore, refunds will not be issued for affected customers. If individuals believe they are entitled to a refund under ATOL protection, they are advised to contact the CAA via email at claims@caa.co.uk.
Recent reviews on Google highly praise One Hajj & Umrah and Oneworld Travels for their exceptional service and professionalism. Customers have commended the companies for their excellent communication, assistance throughout the travel process, and quality of accommodations and flights.
In the past year, several other UK-based travel firms have shuttered, including Ickenham Travel Group Ltd, Great Little Escapes LLP, and Jetline Travel Ltd, as documented on the CAA website.
