“Nigel Farage Faces Racism, Antisemitism Allegations”

Must read

Nigel Farage is under scrutiny following allegations of racist and antisemitic behavior made by former schoolmates. The leader of Reform UK is facing fresh accusations from individuals who attended Dulwich College in south London, claiming he made troubling remarks in support of Hitler, joked about gas chambers, and discriminated against a student based on their skin color.

Peter Ettedgui, a Bafta- and Emmy-winning director and producer, recounted incidents where Farage allegedly expressed admiration for Hitler and made disturbing comments mimicking the sound of gas chambers. Despite these claims, a spokesperson for Reform UK has vehemently denied all allegations, labeling them as an orchestrated attempt to tarnish the party’s reputation.

Ettedgui, whose family fled Nazi Germany, expressed shock at the verbal abuse he witnessed from Farage, including derogatory remarks towards other students. Additional testimonies from former classmates detailed Farage’s alleged involvement in teaching songs with antisemitic themes and engaging in Nazi salutes and chants.

Calls for accountability have emerged from various political figures, with Anna Turley MP demanding an explanation from Farage to address the troubling allegations. Lib Dem MP Josh Babarinde emphasized the seriousness of the accusations and urged Farage to apologize if the claims are verified.

Hope not Hate’s Director of Campaigns, Georgina Laming, highlighted Farage’s history of expressing intolerant views. The article also referenced a past incident involving Deputy PM David Lammy apologizing for insinuating Farage’s association with Hitler Youth.

Reform UK has dismissed the allegations as baseless, citing a lack of concrete evidence and attributing the accusations to a smear campaign. The party anticipates further attempts to discredit them as they gain traction in public opinion polls and Farage emerges as a prominent figure in political forecasts.
