Despite initially thinking the show would be a forever part of her, Dimoldenberg feels it’s time to embark on new adventures.
Starting the show 12 years ago by interviewing musicians in the UK rap scene, Dimoldenberg expanded to chat with various celebrities such as Keke Palmer, Conan O’Brien, Paul McCartney, and Jack Harlow, amassing nearly 3.5 million subscribers on her YouTube channel. “Chicken Shop Date” features Dimoldenberg on casual dates with celebrities at fried chicken spots in London, where she asks a mix of flirty, funny, and sometimes awkward questions, creating a laid-back and engaging atmosphere akin to first-date banter rather than traditional interview setups.
The show has seen memorable moments, like Andrew Garfield playfully accusing Dimoldenberg of flirting during their interview in 2024. Dimoldenberg has also hosted Canadian stars like Ryan Reynolds, who got corrected by Dimoldenberg when he got his wife Blake Lively’s character name wrong from “Gossip Girl.” Shania Twain’s appearance on the show in 2023 revealed interesting tidbits, such as her never meeting Brad Pitt despite referencing him in her song.
