Amanda Holden has decided against having a renewal ceremony for her marriage with husband Chris Hughes. The couple met at a gathering in Los Angeles, USA, in 2003 and got married in 2008 at Babington House in Somerset after a ceremony at St Margaret’s Church.
Having two daughters together, Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13, Amanda mentioned on her Heart breakfast show that she proposed the idea of renewing their vows to Chris, but he was not enthusiastic about it. Recalling their 10th wedding anniversary celebration in 2018, Amanda shared that Chris had no interest in repeating the experience.
Known for her social media presence, Amanda disclosed that she sometimes persuades Chris to participate in Instagram posts but respects his opinions when it comes to business decisions. She emphasized their differences in handling public attention, with Chris avoiding red carpets and public appearances with her.
Despite their contrasts, Amanda highlighted the importance of their evolving relationship in maintaining their marriage. She expressed gratitude for their uncomplicated bond, emphasizing humor and mutual challenge as key factors in their successful marriage. Amanda also mentioned that she still finds Chris attractive, appreciating his ability to surprise her even after many years together.
