Google has introduced a new Chromebook, the Chromebook Plus 14, in collaboration with Lenovo as an alternative for those who find MacBook prices high and dislike Windows 11. This Chrome laptop boasts a MediaTek Kompanio Ultra processor, making it one of the most robust Chromebooks available. The processor’s ARM architecture ensures high efficiency, providing users with up to 17 hours of battery life.
Featuring a 14-inch OLED display, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, multiple ports, and a backlit keyboard, the Chromebook Plus 14 caters to various user needs. Its fanless design ensures silent operation even under heavy use, and it incorporates the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology for speedy internet access.
As a Chromebook, it comes equipped with various Google-powered smart features, such as instant photo editing, quick web searches through Google Lens, image editing tools, and a text simplification function called Help me read. Users also have access to a wide range of Google apps, including Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Google Photos, along with millions of additional Android apps via the Play Store.
The base model of the Chromebook Plus 14 starts at £599, with the price increasing for higher RAM and storage configurations. Benny Zhang, Lenovo’s Executive Director and General Manager of Chromebooks, highlighted the device’s AI capabilities, catering to executives, artists, and everyday users.
The Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 is now available for purchase.
