Elon Musk Backs Hard-Right Advance UK Party

Must read

Elon Musk has reignited his dispute with Nigel Farage and reaffirmed his backing for far-right figure Tommy Robinson. The billionaire tech mogul criticized Mr. Farage’s migration policies and referred to him as ineffective, supporting the new hard-right Advance UK party led by Ben Habib, formerly of Reform UK. Musk’s comments came in response to a tweet by Robinson, who urged Rupert Lowe to join Advance UK after being released on police bail for assault.

Musk, the owner of Tesla and X, expressed his belief that Advance UK would bring about real change, contrasting it with what he called Farage’s ineffectiveness. He further criticized Mr. Farage’s migration strategies, stating his opinion that Farage would do little to safeguard Britain.

In previous instances, Musk had publicly criticized Mr. Farage’s leadership abilities and supported Rupert Lowe. Farage, in turn, distanced himself from Musk following Musk’s support for Robinson, whom Farage has explicitly stated he does not wish to associate with. In response to Musk’s recent remarks, a source from Reform UK commented, “They’re all welcome to each other.”

Meanwhile, Lowe, who has established the Restore Britain party, also criticized Farage’s migration plans as weak. Farage faced backlash from charities and activists for his controversial mass deportation proposals, which included detaining women and children.

Additionally, Lowe and Farage have been engaged in a public feud, with Lowe accusing Farage of behaving like a “messiah” and hinting at a possible departure from the party. Lowe was suspended and reported to the police over alleged threats to the party’s chairman, Zia Yusuf, though no criminal charges were brought against him.

Furthermore, Habib criticized Reform UK for being controlled solely by Farage when he departed from the party. He founded Advance UK to gather individuals he deemed the brightest and bravest.
