Local authorities provided more details about a recent car accident involving actors Alec and Stephen Baldwin that occurred on Monday in the Hamptons. Alec, known for his role in 30 Rock, was driving his wife’s Range Rover when it collided with a tree during rainy weather on Montauk Highway.
Both actors reportedly emerged from the incident unharmed. The East Hampton Town Police Department released a statement confirming that the accident took place at around 12:01 pm on the same day. The crash involved Alec Baldwin’s 2023 Range Rover and passenger Stephen Baldwin, avoiding a commercial truck while navigating the slippery road conditions.
According to Police Chief Michael D. Sarlo, the collision occurred as Alec swerved to avoid a turning Mack commercial truck, registered to National Waste Services. Fortunately, there were no injuries or citations issued, with the accident attributed to evasive action towards another vehicle and the wet road conditions.
Alec, who was driving his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s white Range Rover, sustained considerable damage as a result of the collision with the tree. In an Instagram video, Alec explained that he had to maneuver to avoid a large garbage truck, likening its size to that of a whale, which led to the crash.
