“Asda Offers Free Halloween Meals for Kids”

Must read

Asda is set to introduce a new policy in hundreds of its stores on October 31, primarily impacting customers with children. This initiative aims to assist numerous parents in saving extra money this Halloween season.

Halloween celebrations in the UK continue to grow each year, with an anticipated spending of £779 million this year on various spooky festivities, decorations, and outfits.

According to Asda, the average person could spend around £26 to make Halloween memorable towards the end of October. While this may seem modest, expenses can accumulate quickly, especially for families with multiple children.

Asda is implementing a special rule this October to alleviate some financial pressure during Halloween. On Friday, October 31, children dressed in Halloween costumes can enjoy a complimentary meal in Asda’s cafes.

To avail of the offer, children must be in costume and can choose from the popular Kids Eat for £1 meal deal. This promotion is available in about 205 Asda supermarkets across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

The £1 meal deal will run throughout the half term, assisting families in managing their budgets while ensuring children are well-fed and entertained. Kids can select from nine meal options, including favorites like chicken nuggets, fish fingers, penne pasta, and pizza, or opt for the cold ‘Pick and Mix’ choice, which includes a sandwich, drink, fruit, and a sweet treat.

Aside from the cafe offer, Asda shoppers can purchase Halloween-themed snacks, decorations, and pumpkins starting from as low as 42p. For last-minute costume needs, George at Asda offers a diverse selection starting at £8, catering to aspiring witches, ghosts, or vampires ready for trick-or-treating.

Jordan Cummings, buying manager for cafes and concessions at Asda, emphasized the importance of keeping Halloween fun without financial stress. Meanwhile, Tesco has launched a significant 25% off sale online, providing affordable costume options starting from £7.50.

Tesco’s Clubcard members can benefit from the discount both in-store and online. The supermarket is ramping up its workforce by hiring over 28,500 temporary employees across the UK to support customers during the busy Christmas season.

For those seeking the best deals on pumpkins, various supermarkets like Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Aldi, and Lidl are offering pumpkins for as little as 69p each. Additionally, there are tips available to help extend the lifespan of carved pumpkins during the festive period.
