In the quest for a missing British man who disappeared in Spain, a body has been discovered. Marc Tulloch Hewson was last seen in the Los Balcones area of Torrevieja on September 20. Although he was not residing in that specific location, he had left his home in Orihuela Costa two days before his disappearance. Hewson had been taken to Torrevieja Hospital and discharged in the early hours of September 19 before vanishing.
Reports from the Olive Press indicated that Hewson, whose mental health was deteriorating, was spotted the following day in Los Balcones collecting bottles in a bag. He was barefoot and lacked any identification. A body found in the waters at the Aguilas fishing port in Murcia is believed to be his, with no suspicious circumstances surrounding his demise.
On October 7, Marc’s wife, Catherine, made a formal plea for information while actively participating in the search efforts. His sister, Fiona Crowther, was also engaged in ground searches when his body was located. Fiona expressed gratitude for the support received during the search and confirmed the identification of Marc’s body.
Kelsey Johnson, another participant in the search, expressed appreciation for the support and assistance provided during the search for their friend. Despite the unfortunate outcome of finding his body, the solidarity shown during the search was a significant source of comfort for his family and friends.
