Must read

Co-op has issued a recall for a batch of its own brand pork pies due to concerns of potential allergic reactions. The convenience store chain has withdrawn its Co-op 4 Mini Pork and Pickle Pies from shelves as they contain milk, which is not declared on the label, posing a health risk to individuals with milk allergies.

The affected batch of pork pies, packaged in 200g sizes with use by dates of August 13, 14, and 16, 2025, should be returned to the nearest Co-op for a full refund by those allergic to milk. In a recall notice, Co-op advised customers to return the products to their nearest store for a refund or contact their Customer Careline if self-isolating or shielding.

In recent recalls, Lidl recalled batches of Alesto Raw Fruit and Nut Bars in various flavors over concerns of potential plastic contamination. The recall encompasses bars with best before dates of December 2025 with batch code L24337 and November 2025 with batch code L24316, including flavors like cocoa and orange, berry, blueberry muffin, and salted caramel.

Asda also issued a recall for packs of its hot and spicy chicken breast slices due to an incorrect use-by date of May 30, 2025, labeled on the packet. Meanwhile, Aldi recalled its Inspired Cuisine Baby Potatoes with Herbs and Butter due to a packaging error where milk was not disclosed on the label for batches with a use by date of July 1, 2025, and barcode 4061463488152.

Additionally, Morrisons had to recall its own-brand The Best 6 Thick Cumberland Sausages because of potential contamination with small pieces of blue plastic. The sausages, weighing 400g, with the affected use by date of May 1, 2025, were subject to the recall.
