Must read

Former England cricket star Robin Smith has passed away at the age of 62 while in Australia for the Ashes series. The sad news was confirmed by his friend and ex-teammate Kevan James on BBC Radio Solent. Smith, known as ‘The Judge’, played 62 Tests for England, making his debut in 1988 against the West Indies. He scored two centuries in the Ashes the following year and achieved his highest Test score of 175 in a match against the West Indies. Smith also had a successful ODI career, scoring 167 not out against Australia in 1993. Despite battling alcoholism and depression after retirement, Smith continued to play for Hampshire until 2003. His struggles with mental health were well-documented, and he urged others to seek help and not suffer in silence.
