Must read

In New York City, a woman holding a 5-month-old baby was rescued from the East River by former police officers who acted swiftly. The incident took place on a Sunday morning when the woman entered the river with the child up to neck level.

The heroic rescue was narrated by retired officer Kevin O’Donnell and his colleague, Paul Pinsdorf, who were at a local Halloween parade when they heard cries for help and rushed to the scene. Pinsdorf, a seasoned 20-year veteran, didn’t hesitate to jump into the water to save the woman and the baby, ensuring their safety.

Despite facing resistance from the woman, Pinsdorf managed to bring both of them back to shore. O’Donnell commended Pinsdorf as a hero for his quick actions in rescuing the distressed pair from the river.

Following the rescue, emergency services arrived promptly, and the woman was taken to North Shore University Hospital, while the baby was transported to New York Presbyterian. The authorities have yet to confirm the relationship between the woman and the infant, as well as the motive behind the incident.
