“Hollywood Bidding War for David Bowie Biopic Rights”

Must read

Hollywood executives are currently engaged in a competitive bidding process to produce a biographical film centered on the iconic musician, David Bowie. The movie aims to provide an in-depth exploration of his life, including intimate details of his personal life and his journey to stardom.

Suzi Ronson, the spouse of Mick Ronson, who was a close collaborator of Bowie, has disclosed that her memoir, “Me And Mr Jones: My Life With David Bowie And The Spiders From Mars,” is being adapted into a high-budget cinematic production. Following the book’s release last year, Suzi is optimistic about the potential of creating a remarkable movie based on her experiences.

Speaking at the inaugural Ziggyfest Bowie fan gathering, Suzi expressed her anticipation regarding the selection of the film’s rights holder. She mentioned, “The book has been auctioned for a major motion picture adaptation. While it has not been acquired yet, we are hopeful that a deal will be struck soon, resulting in a compelling film chronicling the Ziggy Stardust era and Bowie’s ascent to fame.”

The upcoming movie is poised to recount her brief romantic encounter with the music icon, which occurred while he was still married to his first wife, Angie. Suzi shared, “The bedroom at his residence had pink walls and a gold ceiling. Many believed he was homosexual. I was intrigued by him. I believe Angie orchestrated the situation.” She further revealed, “I visited her to style her hair on a Wednesday, and she mentioned going on a date that evening. Subsequently, David invited me to his place for a hair appointment. We dined in London, and he charmed me. David was possessive and displayed flamboyance in his demeanor.”

Renowned for crafting David Bowie’s distinctive Ziggy Stardust appearance, Suzi unveiled the behind-the-scenes details of the transformation process, explaining, “I initially styled David’s mother’s hair and was introduced to Angie for David’s haircut. Little did I anticipate discussing him over five decades later.” Describing the origins of the iconic orange spiked hair, she recalled, “He presented me with a picture of a girl sporting spiky hair and inquired if I could replicate it. Despite it being a feminine hairstyle and lacking the necessary products, I managed to find the right color and utilized an anti-dandruff treatment named Guard, which stiffened the hair effectively.”

Reflecting on the striking red hair, she remarked, “He looked astonishing with that vibrant red hair. He embodied Ziggy Stardust. Bowie and the band garnered immense female admiration for their glam rock attire.”
