ICE Agent Shoots Man in Leg in Minneapolis; Blame Shifted to Biden

Must read

Another individual has been shot by an ICE agent, causing further distress in Minneapolis. However, the government swiftly attempted to shift blame onto Joe Biden. Recent reports disclosed that a man was shot in the leg by an ICE agent in the northern part of the city. This incident occurred shortly after Renee Good, a mother of three, was fatally shot three times in the head. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that the man tried to evade a targeted traffic stop, crashed his car, and then fled on foot. According to the government, two individuals approached the ICE agent with a snow shovel and broom handle, leading the agent to shoot the man in the leg out of fear for his safety.

The DHS, led by Trump ally Kristi Noem, managed to criticize the former President, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment, in an effort to deflect blame for the unrest in the city. The DHS released a statement insinuating that Joe Biden had released an illegal alien from Venezuela in 2022. The attempt to involve Biden in the situation, considering he has been out of politics for a year, was met with surprise and criticism.

Furthermore, the Trump administration targeted the Democratic governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, and the Democratic mayor, Jacob Frey, blaming them for the recent shootings by federal agents in Minneapolis. The DHS accused Walz and Frey of promoting resistance against ICE and federal law enforcement officers, labeling their actions as hateful rhetoric. The deputy attorney general, Todd Blanche, went as far as labeling the governor and mayor’s leadership as terrorism, focusing on them rather than addressing the actions of the ICE agents.

Mayor Frey stood up against Washington’s intimidation and criticized ICE for causing chaos in Minnesota. Local residents expressed their frustration and fear over the influx of ICE agents in their city, as the Trump administration deployed approximately 3,000 additional officers in recent weeks. Protests erupted following Renee Good’s tragic death, with accusations from Trump and his supporters branding her a domestic terrorist. However, bodycam footage released later raised questions about the circumstances leading to the shooting.

Subsequent protests after the recent shooting resulted in federal agents using tear gas and pepper balls against locals who were protesting against the presence and actions of immigration agents. The aggressive response to protesters and the attempts to blame Joe Biden reflect the ongoing politicization of tragic events by Trump and his associates in the city facing continuous turmoil.
