Kendall Jenner is indicating a move away from the constant attention of fame, expressing her intention to adopt a more serene and down-to-earth lifestyle.
The 29-year-old supermodel, who rose to fame at the young age of 11 through Keeping Up With The Kardashians, shared that she now values simplicity over the limelight. In a frank discussion with Vogue alongside her friend Gigi Hadid, Kendall confessed her desire to shift towards designing homes exclusively, stating, “I swear, I’m going to leave everything behind and focus on designing homes. I’m serious.”
She elaborated that while her life in Los Angeles is comfortable, she yearns for a more ordinary existence: “I adore my space in LA, but I also genuinely appreciate the simple life. I enjoy waking up each morning, putting on a swimsuit or sweatpants, going makeup-free, and just relishing the freedom of my day.”
The model further expressed her wish to feel normal, even amidst her fame and wealth. She disclosed that horse riding continues to be a passion that allows her to step outside the world of celebrity.
Kendall remarked, “I love feeling ordinary. I relish going to horse shows dressed like everyone else, wearing my helmet, sunglasses, and uniform, and competing under a completely different name.”
Reflecting on her early years in the spotlight, Kendall shared on Emma Chamberlain’s Anything Goes podcast about balancing school and television with her siblings.
“We attended school for as long as we could. I started homeschooling in 11th and 12th grade. So, despite having a TV show at home, we spent our entire day at regular school, maintaining friendships from before the show began. It wasn’t always easy, but it did feel somewhat normal.”
She expressed gratitude for her upbringing and the support she received, stating, “Overall, I am extremely grateful because I believe things could have been much worse. Kylie and I had a lot of stability, love, a strong support system, and wonderful friends. We are also thankful for having older siblings who paved the way for us.”
Kendall’s career has encompassed reality TV, high-fashion runways, and numerous magazine covers. However, despite her remarkable success, she appears prepared to take a step back, focusing on personal interests, home design, and a lifestyle that emphasizes authenticity and tranquility over constant public scrutiny.
