A man who disappeared six years ago has been discovered deceased in a national park.
Jordan Moray’s remains were located on the Brecon Beacon last week, close to the Llwyn On Reservoir, as confirmed by his family. Moray was initially reported missing in 2019 after he was last seen at his residence in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Throughout the past six years, Moray’s family made numerous pleas for information on his whereabouts, hoping for a breakthrough.
His brother Josh revealed that a hiker stumbled upon human remains on August 29 at the Brecon Beacons, Bannau Brycheniog. Subsequently, it was confirmed that the remains belonged to Moray.
Josh paid tribute to his late brother, describing Jordan, who would now be 38, as his “closest companion,” with the two sharing many experiences together.
He expressed, “His absence has left a significant void in my life that will endure. Now, our parents can lay him to rest. Jordan Moray, I love you and look forward to reuniting with you, big bro.”
A spokesperson from the South Wales Police stated, “On Friday, August 29, 2025, a report was received about the discovery of human remains in a secluded area near Llwyn On Reservoir in the Brecon Beacons.”
“The identification of these remains has confirmed them to be those of Jordan Moray, who was reported missing in July 2019 from his home in Cwmbach, Aberdare.”
“The coroner has been informed, and no suspicious circumstances surround his death. Jordan’s relatives have been notified, and they have requested privacy during this challenging period.”
