Meghan Markle has openly shared her struggles with feelings of being unwell during a prolonged separation from her children, Archie and Lilibet. This disclosure was made on her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, which premiered earlier this year.
While the exact timeline of this period of separation was not specified, it is believed to have occurred following the passing of Queen Elizabeth in 2022, prompting the Sussexes to unexpectedly extend their stay in the UK.
The show, which received mixed reviews, featured notable personalities such as Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, David Chang, Samin Nosrat, Christina Tosi, and Clare Smyth.
In a candid moment with Tan France, Meghan empathized with the challenges of being away from their kids, revealing that she experienced nearly three weeks without them and admitted to not being in a good state during that time.
Prince Harry also alluded to the difficulties of this period in his memoir Spare, recounting the emotional separation from their children after the Queen’s passing. The couple left their children in the care of Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, in LA, as they traveled to various events in Manchester, Dusseldorf, and London.
Despite the strains in their relationship with Prince William and the Royal Family, Harry and Meghan made public appearances together, including attending the funeral and committal service for the Queen.
While Harry has visited the UK solo since the Queen’s passing, Meghan recently drew comparisons between herself and former US President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama at an event in Washington DC. She discussed their new deal with Netflix, highlighting the strength of their partnership and the flexibility it provides in content creation and distribution.
