Mother of Two Suspected Dead in Kentucky Plane Crash

Must read

A mother of two is believed to have perished in a plane crash in Kentucky on Tuesday evening. Angela ‘Angie’ Anderson, aged 45 and from Louisville, is one of the nine individuals still missing following the crash of UPS Flight 2976, which resulted in 12 fatalities. Anderson was at Grade A Auto Parts & Scrap Metal Recycling to dispose of scrap metal around 5 pm when the plane crashed and caught fire.

Her boyfriend, Donald Henderson, aged 55, had intended to accompany her but decided not to due to fatigue from a day of work. He expressed regret, stating that they had planned to go together but his exhaustion prevented them from doing so. There has been no contact with Anderson since the incident.

William Moreland, aged 64 and with two children with Anderson, is also searching for information on her whereabouts. Moreland expressed his concerns, highlighting the need for answers and stating that they are not the only ones affected.

Authorities reported that at least 16 families have reported missing loved ones, with 11 individuals sustaining injuries. The plane, en route to Honolulu, briefly gained altitude before crashing just outside the airport and causing damage to Kentucky Petroleum Recycling and Grade A Autoparts.

A massive fire erupted, causing a significant blaze in the industrial area. Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency to expedite assistance to the scene. Anderson’s friend, Angel O’Rafferty, took to Facebook to express love and concern for her friend and others affected by the crash.

Todd Inman of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) mentioned that a large fire erupted in the left wing after takeoff, leading to questions about the cause of the fire and the detachment of an engine. The investigation is expected to take over a year to provide answers.

Initial findings suggest that the plane managed to clear the airport fence before crashing near Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, a major travel hub handling millions of passengers and tons of cargo annually. Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg confirmed a death toll of at least 12, including UPS crew members, ground workers, and a child, with several individuals still unaccounted for.
