Must read

A person has reportedly fallen off a cruise ship that is currently carrying British passengers. Travelers aboard the Norwegian Jewel, en route from Barcelona to Miami, were awoken at 2am by a “code Oscar starboard” alert blaring through the ship’s speakers, indicating a maritime emergency involving a person overboard. It has been claimed by a passenger that the cruise staff confirmed the incident and that the ship is engaged in a search and rescue operation, navigating the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Norwegian cruise ship departed from Barcelona on October 15, 2025. An anonymous British passenger recounted, “I was asleep in my cabin when the captain announced ‘code Oscar starboard’. The message was broadcast into our rooms, and after looking it up, I learned that Oscar signifies a person overboard. Recently, we were informed that an individual had indeed fallen overboard, prompting the continuous circling of the ship.”

Inquiries have been made to Norwegian Cruise Line for a statement regarding the incident. Stay updated with the latest news by subscribing to email alerts for top stories of the day.
