The family of Virginia Giuffre expressed her satisfaction, stating that the primary accuser of Prince Andrew has successfully brought down the British royal after the announcement that he will lose all his royal titles.
In a message to the BBC, her family conveyed, “Today, an average American girl from a typical American family has toppled a British prince with her truth and exceptional bravery,” as articulated by her brother Skye Roberts and sister-in-law Amanda.
“Virginia Roberts Giuffre, our sibling, who was a minor when she experienced the sexual assault by Andrew, never ceased to demand accountability for what transpired to her and numerous other survivors like her.
“Today, she claims victory. We, her family, along with her fellow survivor sisters, are carrying on Virginia’s fight and will persist until the same level of accountability extends to all the perpetrators and enablers linked to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.”
Mounting pressure arose as more questions emerged regarding the connection between Andrew and the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has consistently refuted all accusations against him.
Sigrid McCawley, the attorney representing Virginia Giuffre in her civil case against Prince Andrew, described the King’s decision to strip Andrew’s titles as a “turning point.”
She remarked, “Virginia Giuffre’s voice has reshaped history. Her courage, resolve, and enduring spirit have led to this crucial moment. As we reflect on the pivotal significance of the King revoking the title ‘Prince’ from his brother Andrew, it should serve as a lesson for everyone to listen, heed, and believe survivors of abuse.”
This evening, Buckingham Palace disclosed that the King has commenced the formal process of revoking all royal titles and honors from Andrew, including ‘prince’.
The former duke will be required to vacate the 30-room Royal Lodge, which he shared with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. This decision came after public outrage over the nominal rent Andrew paid for the Windsor mansion, where he resided for nearly two decades.
Reports suggest that Andrew will relocate to a property on the private Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, funded privately by King Charles, following what the Palace views as “serious lapses of judgment.”

In a dramatic announcement, Buckingham Palace declared, “His Majesty has initiated the formal process today to strip Prince Andrew of his Style, Titles, and Honors. Prince Andrew will now be referred to as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His residency at Royal Lodge, under the existing lease, has legally safeguarded his stay thus far.
“Formal notice has been served for the surrender of the lease, and he will transition to alternative private accommodations. Despite his continuous denial of the allegations, these actions are deemed necessary.
“Their Majesties want to emphasize that their thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the victims and survivors of all forms of abuse.”
