Samsung has unveiled its latest Galaxy lineup at the Unpacked event in New York, showcasing new bendable phones that are thinner, faster, and more durable. The flagship device, Galaxy Z Fold 7, features an 8-inch screen and has been significantly slimmed down to just 8.9mm, making it Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable phone. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the device promises enhanced performance across various functions like app usage and gaming.
Despite its sleek design, Samsung assures users of the device’s durability with features like Armour FlexHinge, Gorilla Glass, and an Advanced Armour Aluminium frame. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 also boasts a larger 6.5-inch cover screen and an improved triple-lens camera system with a 200MP main lens and advanced editing capabilities.
In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung is set to release the Z Flip 7, featuring a more expansive front display for convenient usage without unfolding the 6.9-inch main screen. The Z Flip 7 will offer a bigger battery, enhanced design, and increased power with Samsung’s Exynos chip, priced at £1,049. Furthermore, Samsung is introducing the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a more budget-friendly option at £849.
Annika Bizon, Mobile Experience VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung UK & Ireland, highlighted the new era of smartphone innovation, emphasizing the integration of AI to anticipate users’ needs effectively. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 combines cutting-edge hardware with Galaxy AI in an ultra-thin and sleek design, empowering users to accomplish tasks in innovative ways.
