Sky customers in the UK are in for a treat as HBO Max, the latest streaming service, has been added to select plans at no extra cost. This new addition offers a wide range of popular HBO dramas and Warner Bros. films, including favorites like Game of Thrones and Friends. Sky Ultimate TV package subscribers can now access HBO Max for free, saving over £50 per month.
Sky announced that Sky Stream, Sky Glass, and Sky Q customers with the right package will automatically receive HBO Max Basic with Ads as part of their subscription. To start enjoying HBO Max, customers can simply launch the HBO Max app from the homepage and follow the on-screen instructions to activate it for on-demand streaming.
For those not currently subscribed to the Sky Ultimate TV package, they can switch to this plan starting at £22 per month. This package includes over 130 Sky channels, along with Netflix, Disney+, and the upcoming Hayu service. Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, highlighted the integration of Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu into a single subscription, offering a unique entertainment experience.
Furthermore, NOW Entertainment customers will also have access to HBO Max at no additional cost through the NOW app. For non-Sky subscribers interested in HBO Max, they can sign up directly on the HBO Max website, with Standard with Ads plans starting at £5.99 per month.
