“Sky Revamps TV Lineup: Sky One Returns with New Shows”

Must read

Sky has recently unveiled changes to its TV channel lineup, with the updates set to take effect imminently. Sky Showcase and Sky Max will be discontinued from February 24, but to compensate, a popular channel, Sky One, is making a comeback. The revived Sky One will feature a variety of comedy and entertainment programs, including new shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby. Additionally, fan-favorite shows such as Rob & Romesh Vs., The Paper, and Ted will be part of the lineup.

Sky One will also be home to Saturday Night Live UK, scheduled to debut later this year. Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed enthusiasm about the relaunch, emphasizing that the channel aims to provide a unique and vibrant entertainment destination for viewers. The channel will showcase a mix of brand-new Sky Originals, returning favorites, and exclusive content like the highly anticipated Saturday Night Live UK.

The launch of Sky One on channel 106 is set for tomorrow, February 24. Alongside the channel launch, Sky is introducing a new plan called Ultimate TV, priced at £24 per month. This plan will grant customers access to popular streaming services like Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app. Subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will also receive over 130 premium channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky History, and more.

Moreover, Sky Cinema users will benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel integrated into the TV guide, allowing easy access to Hollywood hits without the need for the Disney+ app. The £24 plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads (starting March), HBO Max Basic with Ads (from March 26th), Hayu (from July, with select shows available from March), and over 130 Sky channels.

Overall, the new changes promise an enhanced viewing experience for Sky customers, offering a wide range of entertainment options and exclusive content.
