Sky has unveiled exciting updates for F1 fans, enhancing the viewing experience for the upcoming 2026 season. The new features, set to be rolled out soon, will introduce an interactive sidebar during race weekends. This sidebar will provide tools like Race Control and Recap for fans to revisit key moments and exciting overtakes. Additionally, viewers can easily access live in-race standings.
The update will also include dedicated driver and team pages, granting fans access to onboard cameras, enhanced race data, and improved navigation on the homepage.
To enjoy these enhancements, Sky Sports subscribers using Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q devices will receive the features for free. While an exact launch date is yet to be confirmed, the upgrade is expected to be available later in the season at no extra cost for existing Sky Sports subscribers.
Sky’s statement to Express.co.uk highlighted the new immersive sidebar feature for TV viewing during race weekends, promising fans more flexibility and choices for the 2026 season.
In addition to the F1 upgrades, Sky has introduced an Ultimate TV subscription plan priced at £24 per month. This plan offers access to popular streaming services such as Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app in the UK, providing customers with a bundled value of around £20 worth of streaming services in a single package.
Included in the £24 Ultimate TV plan are services like Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads, Hayu, and access to more than 130 Sky channels.
