“I bought an oversized hoodie blanket to snuggle up in, and haven’t used heating since,” she mentioned in a forum post dating back to 2022. This enthusiast is not alone in extolling the virtues of this garment.
A mother of two also informed Manchester Evening News that their family’s Oodies, worn for several years, have been highly effective in keeping them warm both indoors and during outings in their campervan.
“When you want to avoid turning on the heating, these are fantastic,” the mother, who follows Martin Lewis’s advice, commented in 2024. “The kids adore theirs and never complain about feeling cold.”

However, in light of the endorsement for Oodies from fans, an MSE spokesperson clarified that any products mentioned on the MoneySavingExpert site are not endorsements but are the result of journalistic research from the MSE team and Martin Lewis.
