“Tourist Assaulted by Hotel Employee in Greek Resort”

Must read

A British tourist has reported being sexually assaulted by a hotel employee during her stay in Greece. The 45-year-old woman informed authorities on the Greek island of Kos that a 42-year-old male, identified as a Nigerian national, attacked her in her hotel room at approximately 7 pm on Monday. Allegedly taking advantage of her intoxicated state, the employee is now in custody after a manhunt by police on the popular resort island. He is expected to face the Kos District Court prosecutor in the near future.

This incident follows a series of similar reports earlier this year in Greece. In one case, a tourist in Rhodes accused her masseuse of inappropriate behavior during a massage at a hotel in Kremasti, leading her to file a lawsuit over the incident. Additionally, a British teenager claimed to have been sexually assaulted in the sea in front of a crowded beach on Rhodes. The 16-year-old girl, vacationing with her family, reported the incident to the police, resulting in the arrest of a 15-year-old boy from Belgium who claimed the interaction was consensual. The case has been forwarded to an investigating officer for further legal action.

These incidents highlight concerns over the safety of tourists in Greece, particularly during the busy summer season. Authorities are working to address such cases and ensure the protection of visitors to the Mediterranean nation.
