Must read

The demise of renowned music icon Ace Frehley is now the subject of an inquiry following the initiation of a toxicology examination. The iconic KISS star passed away last week at the age of 74.

Ace, the guitarist, had been on life support for an extended period subsequent to a studio accident that resulted in a fall. Following a brain hemorrhage, he was placed on life support, with his family eventually deciding to remove him from the ventilator.

A spokesperson for the Morris County Medical Examiner’s office disclosed that an autopsy had not been conducted on the musician. Instead, a toxicology screening is in progress, alongside an “external body examination.”

Although the exact cause of death has not been disclosed, the medical examiner’s office indicated that the determination of the cause of death will be finalized in the forthcoming weeks, as per TMZ reports.

Ace, a prominent figure in the music industry, was one of the founding members of KISS, establishing the legendary group alongside Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss.

The popular band gained fame for hit tracks such as “I Was Made for Lovin’ You” and “Rock and Roll All Nite.” Ace left the band in 1982 due to internal conflicts and substance abuse issues.

In 1996, he briefly reunited with his former bandmates for a tour but departed once more in 2002. Following his passing, Ace’s family issued a heartfelt statement expressing their sorrow and devastation over his loss.

Before his demise, he reassured fans of his well-being post the fall. Despite the cancellation of his tour, a statement on his official Instagram account on September 25 aimed to calm fans, mentioning his doctor’s advice against travel.

Subsequently, another statement announced the cancellation of his remaining 2025 tour dates due to ongoing medical problems. Following Ace’s death, his bandmate Gene conveyed his grief over the loss in a joint statement with Paul, emphasizing Ace’s integral role in KISS’s history and legacy.
