In the latest update for November 2025, the results of the Premium Bond draw were revealed, highlighting the fortunate recipients of two £1 million prizes.
The first individual, residing in Shropshire, clinched a £1 million prize with a maximum holding of £50,000 in Premium Bonds. Their winning bond number, 258GE105589, was obtained in October 2015. Meanwhile, the second £1 million winner, based in York, also possessed £50,000 in Premium Bonds, with the winning bond number 568FY679677 purchased in February 2024.
Premium Bonds, offered by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), stand out as a unique savings product where instead of a fixed interest rate, individuals participate in a monthly prize draw. Prizes range from £25 to £1 million, with the majority being smaller amounts. Winning is not guaranteed, emphasizing the element of luck in this savings scheme.
The maximum savings limit for Premium Bonds is £50,000, and for each £1 invested, a distinct bond number is assigned. The odds of winning a prize each month stand at 22,000 to 1 for every £1 bond.
Andrew Westhead, NS&I Retail Director, expressed congratulations to the jackpot winners from Shropshire and York, hailing their fortune as they usher in the festive season with an additional million pounds each.
Winners are typically notified via email or text from NS&I, enabling them to choose between having the prize amount deposited into their bank account or reinvested in Premium Bonds. To check if they have won, recipients can use the NS&I online prize checker tool or the Premium Bonds prize checker app.
The current prize fund rate, akin to an interest rate for Premium Bonds, stands at 3.60%. While the rate has slightly decreased in recent months, the number of smaller prizes has increased, balancing the distribution of rewards. Despite these adjustments, two £1 million prizes are still up for grabs each month.
In the August 2025 draw, the prize fund rate was reduced to 3.60%, impacting the allocation of larger prizes. As of now, approximately 23 million individuals hold Premium Bonds, enjoying the chance to win big in the monthly draws.
