WhatsApp has rolled out a series of new features to enhance the messaging experience for its users. The updates include improvements to emojis, stickers, calls, and Channels, all now available for users to explore.
The company shared, “It’s been a busy few months introducing new features and updates to WhatsApp.” Users are encouraged to discover the latest enhancements on their Android and iPhone devices.
Here are the recent changes introduced on the platform:
**CHAT UPDATE**
– **Animated emojis:** Emojis now come to life with animations, adding a more interactive touch to chats.
– **Animated sticker maker:** Users can elevate their sticker game by creating moving stickers from favorite videos.
– **Avatar social stickers:** Exclusive to one-to-one chats, these social stickers can only be shared with contacts who have avatars saved by default.
– **Easier group creation:** Starting a new group is now simplified. Users can initiate a group chat with just a group name and later add members directly or invite them through a link.
– **Caption, react, and reply to multiple media:** When sending multiple photos and videos simultaneously, users can now include a shared caption for all items. Recipients can react or reply to the entire collection or individual items.
**CALL UPDATE**
WhatsApp has introduced a dedicated tab for making new calls, sharing call links, and managing call history conveniently in one location. Additionally, users can enjoy six new filters and six fun effects during video calls or when capturing photos.
**OTHER UPDATES**
– A separate tab for Status and Channels has been added, distinct from personal chats.
– **Photo polls on Channels:** Channel admins can now include photos in each poll option for a more engaging experience.
– **Starring Channel updates:** Users can mark their favorite updates to revisit them later at their convenience.
– **Mention groups on Status:** In addition to mentioning friends and family in status updates, users can now mention groups. Group members will receive notifications in the group chat and can reshare the status.
