Having been a special guest at Ozzy’s final performance in Birmingham just before his demise, Yungblud expressed his sorrow over Ozzy’s unexpected death at the age of 76 in Buckinghamshire, only 17 days after his last appearance at Villa Park.

In the wake of the tragic loss, Yungblud took to social media to express his deep emotions, vowing to keep Ozzy’s memory alive through his music. He affirmed, “I will never forget you – you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage.”

Yungblud is now slated to deliver a tribute to Ozzy at the upcoming MTV VMAs, where he will join forces with rock legends Aerosmith. The highly anticipated Video Music Awards, set to take place in Long Island, New York this weekend, will feature a significant segment dedicated to honoring Ozzy.

Teaming up with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme, Yungblud will perform a medley of Ozzy’s greatest hits during the event. UK viewers can catch the performance at 9pm on Monday night on Comedy Central.

During Ozzy’s final show, Yungblud led a special performance featuring Bettencourt, II from Sleep Token, and Adam Wakeman, where they paid homage by playing Black Sabbath’s Changes. Yungblud has committed to including this song in every future performance “for the rest of my life.”

Shortly after Ozzy’s passing was announced on July 22, Yungblud shared poignant photos of their time together, reminiscing about the joyful moments they shared. He emotionally wrote, “I will never forget you – you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage.”

Struggling to come to terms with the loss, Yungblud poured out his feelings, acknowledging Ozzy’s significant influence on his life and career. He expressed gratitude towards Ozzy and his family for their unwavering support and guidance. In a heartfelt conclusion, he declared, “For the prince of darkness, you sure brought all the light to the world. I love you Ozzy.”
