Some Sky subscribers are facing a frustrating issue with the ITVX app, where programs are skipping to the end randomly. This glitch started recently, causing users to be abruptly taken to the credits without any input from the remote control.
On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky complained about the ITV Player skipping to the end of episodes without warning, making it challenging to watch programs for the past few days. Another user named Dawn reported similar problems with shows abruptly jumping to the end, particularly at the start or after ad breaks.
The glitch seems to be affecting users of Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it’s uncertain if Sky Q users are also experiencing this issue, most complaints are from those using broadband-connected devices rather than satellite dishes.
Although the cause of the problem is unknown, a Sky representative named Kev acknowledged the issue and mentioned that they are collaborating with ITV to resolve it. Kev assured users that the support teams are actively working on a solution and promised to provide updates as soon as possible.
