Donald Trump was captured on camera tightly gripping the handrails while departing Marine One, sparking concerns about dementia from an expert.
The US president descended from the helicopter on Friday night in Washington DC, evading questions as he headed towards Air Force One en route to his Mar-a-Lago golf resort in Palm Beach for the weekend.
Observers noted Trump’s cautious demeanor while navigating the steps of the aircraft, reigniting worries about his health. Despite the White House’s assurance of his “exceptional health,” apprehensions continue to mount.
In a previous incident in June, Trump was seen limping while boarding Air Force One, particularly favoring his left leg, prompting speculation about potential signs of dementia in the 79-year-old.
A video analysis highlighted Trump’s deliberate placement of his left leg, with an expert suggesting that a noticeable leg swing in his right leg could indicate a specific type of dementia known as Frontotemporal dementia.
During a late October visit to Walter Reed Medical Center, Trump disclosed undergoing an MRI scan, emphasizing the results were “perfect.” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt acknowledged the advanced imaging but was uncertain about the specifics, reiterating the president’s excellent physical condition.
Leavitt emphasized that the president was in optimal health, despite uncertainties regarding the exact imaging procedures.
