Roman Kemp recently shared details about an eye-opening experience at a high-profile Halloween party hosted by Jonathan Ross. During a podcast episode with singer Tom Grennan, the 32-year-old The One Show presenter recounted attending the lavish event dressed as Miss Trunchbull from Matilda.
Reflecting on the soirée, Roman revealed that his costume provided a unique vantage point into the behavior of certain celebrities when they believed they were interacting incognito. He noted a shift in demeanor from some well-known personalities who failed to recognize him behind his elaborate disguise.
While acknowledging a mix of reactions, Roman singled out actor Simon Pegg as a standout for his genuine and friendly demeanor at the party. Despite encountering some less-than-friendly individuals at the star-studded gathering, Roman emphasized that there were still amiable attendees present.
Having transitioned from his role at Capital FM’s Breakfast Show in 2024, Roman has expanded his media presence through BBC hosting duties and appearances on popular shows like I’m A Celebrity and Celebrity Gogglebox alongside his famous parents, Martin Kemp and Shirlie Holliman.
Although Roman has been approached multiple times to participate in Strictly Come Dancing, he has declined due to concerns about facing public scrutiny. He expressed admiration for the show while opting to support from afar rather than stepping onto the dance floor himself.
