Superdrug is set to launch 30 new stores this year, generating approximately 600 job opportunities. The new store locations in England will include White Rose Leeds, Crawley, Waterlooville Retail Park, Newport Retail Park, and Isle of Wight. In addition, Superdrug will introduce new stores in Scotland, such as Dundee Gallagher Retail Park, Kilmarnock Retail Park, East Kilbride, Strathkelvin Retail Park, Linwood Phoenix Retail Park, and Cwmbran Retail Park in Wales.

These upcoming stores will feature Superdrug Beauty Studios offering services like ear piercing, manicures, and eyebrow threading. Furthermore, the company plans to revamp 60 existing stores throughout the year. Currently, Superdrug operates over 780 stores across the UK and Ireland.

Superdrug executives attribute the expansion plans to robust customer demand in their stores. The company intends to focus on expanding through large-format destination stores and retail park locations. Clare Jennings, Superdrug’s property director, expressed confidence in physical retail experiences, emphasizing the creation of beauty, healthcare, and affordable treatment destinations within local communities.

The investment in new stores aims to bring enhanced Superdrug experiences to more locations, providing access to healthcare, beauty products, and treatments while fostering job creation and career opportunities. In related retail news, M&S has unveiled plans to open new stores in 500 desired locations to expand its food business, seeking larger sites to accommodate a broader range of offerings.
