La connection between the “Strictly Come Dancing” personality La Voix and a major jewelry robbery has recently come to light. This revelation sheds light on a surprising chapter in the drag queen’s past, far from her usual entertainment work.

The peculiar tale resurfaced as La Voix made an appearance on a BBC program, leaving many puzzled about her involvement in the crime. In 2009, Chris Dennis, known as La Voix, was hired as a makeup artist for a unique assignment. Two individuals requested her services to transform them into elderly figures for what they claimed was a music video shoot.

Unbeknownst to La Voix, the men, Aman Kassaye and Craig Calderwood, had sinister intentions. Shortly after the makeover, they arrived at a prestigious diamond store in London, brandishing a firearm and coercing the staff to hand over £40 million worth of gems.

Following the heist, Calderwood was convicted of robbery and firearm possession, receiving a 21-year prison sentence. Meanwhile, Kassaye, the mastermind, was sentenced to 23 years for conspiracy to rob, firearm possession, and kidnapping.

La Voix, recounting the incident in 2021, shared how she was deceived into participating in the criminals’ scheme. She received payment for her services but later realized the true nature of the makeover when she recognized the perpetrators in a newspaper report the following day.

The drag artist cooperated with Scotland Yard detectives, providing evidence for the case. Despite the ordeal, La Voix’s friends and followers have taken to social media to discuss the extraordinary turn of events.
