Film enthusiasts and celebrities are converging in the largest city of Canada for the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The 51st edition of TIFF, spanning over 11 days from Thursday onwards, showcases almost 300 films, featuring renowned actors like Javier Bardem, Cynthia Erivo, and Seth Rogen, among many others.

On Day 2, September 11, fans of K-pop sensation Lisa were thrilled to catch a glimpse of her at the premiere of her documentary “Always Lalisa” at Roy Thomson Hall. The cast and crew of “The Stunt Driver,” starring Jay Baruchel and Ed Helms, graced the red carpet for the film’s premiere. Director Michael Dowse expressed his certainty in Baruchel’s suitability for the role of Canadian daredevil Ken Carter after witnessing his performance in the movie “Blackberry.”
Rebel Wilson, along with her wife Ramona Agruma-Wilson, promoted “Girl Group,” a film she wrote, directed, and acted in, alongside Jennifer Coolidge and Randall Park. Actor James McAvoy interacted with fans and signed autographs before the premiere of his supernatural drama “Faith” at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. Additionally, the cast and crew of “Man in Motion: The Rick Hansen Story,” including director Adrian Buitenhuis and Rick Hansen himself, were present at Roy Thomson Hall for promotions.
Day 1, September 10, saw the red carpet being rolled out for the opening film “Being Heumann” by acclaimed director Siân Heder, as well as Canadian premieres of “Fjord,” “The Housewife,” and “Stuffed.” Visitors and their furry companions posed for photos near the iconic TIFF sign on King Street W. The cast and crew of “Being Heumann” gathered for a photo op before its premiere at Roy Thomson Hall.
Celebrities such as Rio Finnegan, Fan Bingbing, Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow, Jodie Comer, Theo Rhys, Naomi Watts, and Luke Evans graced various film premieres on the first day of the festival.
