“Windsor Man Arrested for Impaired Driving Crash”

The Windsor Police Service announced the arrest of a 27-year-old man for impaired driving following a car collision with a residence. Responding to a call on Armanda Street close to Malden Road around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, officers discovered the vehicle resting on the front lawn of the house with its front bumper against the steps. The driver, who was still in the vehicle, exhibited signs of impairment such as red, glossy eyes, slurred speech, unsteadiness, and drowsiness. Subsequently, the police detained the driver and transported him to the Windsor police headquarters for a breath test, revealing a blood alcohol level exceeding double the legal limit. The individual has been formally charged with impaired driving. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the house suffered damages exceeding $10,000.
