The dramatic event, which took place in Swain County, left the motorist in shock as the feline smashed through the glass at 55mph, prompting her to immediately contact emergency services.
The woman described the unlikely scenario in a 911 call, stating that a bald eagle had unexpectedly released the cat into her vehicle, causing significant damage to her windshield. Despite the unusual nature of the situation, the operator reassured her and dispatched Highway Patrol to assess the scene.
Fortunately, the woman escaped unharmed, as confirmed by Highway Patrol officials, although her vehicle required towing. Witnesses reported seeing the cat engage in a mid-air struggle with the bald eagle just moments before the fall.
