Selena Gomez, a popular singer and actress, is facing a lawsuit from investors who claim she engaged in fraudulent activities by not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup, Wondermind Global. The investors, who put in approximately $1.2 million in the company, allege that Gomez, a prominent figure with over 500 million social media followers, was supposed to take an active role in the company’s marketing but failed to do so. The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Delaware, states that promises made by Gomez and other executives, such as creating a mobile app, were not kept.
According to the legal action, Gomez purportedly signed a contract committing to her responsibilities but did not follow through. The investors argue that the company did not live up to its commitments, including timely payments to employees and vendors, and lacked a viable business plan. The lawsuit highlights that the investors were unaware of the company’s issues until they were revealed in an online news report in September 2025. They are now seeking to recover their investments along with legal costs.
