Liam Payne’s partner, Kate Cassidy, has revealed images of her acquaintance’s wrecked new vehicle following a serious car accident. The popular American figure was romantically involved with the former member of the music group One Direction at the time of his passing at 31 years old last October.
Taking to Instagram, Kate posted a video of her entering a blue Lamborghini with the caption “How it began.” She then transitioned to scenes of the aftermath of the crash, commenting, “How it concluded.”
The 26-year-old detailed that her friend had taken her for a ride in her boyfriend’s new Lamborghini Urus, valued at over £200,000. Kate has not disclosed if any injuries were sustained in the collision.
In the shared footage, Kate displayed the damage to the car, which was visibly marooned by the roadside with a significant body puncture above the wheel. She remarked, “Lesson learned: never let your girlfriend drive your new car.”
Supportive messages poured in from fans, expressing relief that everyone was unharmed. One follower wrote, “I’m so relieved you’re safe.” Another commented, “Thankful that no one was injured. Sending love to both of you.”
Kate’s friend, Alexandra Gall, who was behind the wheel during the incident, posted, “Grateful that our guardian angels were watching over us.”
Meanwhile, T Steezy, whose girlfriend was driving the car, provided further insights on the event in an Instagram update. “My partner crashed my $240,000 Urus today – am I upset? Certainly. Will I dwell on it? No, because I’m just thankful that everyone is okay. We can always purchase another one. It’s alright.”
“They were hit by a bus. Unbelievable! I don’t think they were at fault.”
The accident occurred shortly after Kate reappeared on social media following the anniversary of Liam’s demise. The late One Direction artist tragically passed away after falling from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
A post-mortem examination revealed that the singer succumbed to multiple injuries and internal and external bleeding after the fall from the Casa Sur Hotel balcony. On the anniversary of his death, Kate shared a series of photos in a heartfelt tribute to the star.
“Today marks a full year without you here. I will always detest goodbyes. Liam, I miss you,” she expressed.
Liam’s sister, Ruth, also honored his memory, stating, “Many seem fixated on the public aspect of this tragedy, some unfortunately seem more interested in the fame they can garner from it, but on a human level, people must remember that when they speak, there is a son without his father, parents without their child, and I am adrift without my brother.”
