A confidante of Sarah Ferguson has disclosed the genuine motive for the ex-duchess’s choice to not reside with her former husband, Andrew. Buckingham Palace recently announced that King Charles had commenced formal proceedings to revoke Andrew’s style, titles, and honors.
As per the announcement, the prince will now go by the name Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. He will be leaving his Royal Lodge residence in Windsor due to his connection with the late financier and convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
Despite denying all accusations against him, the King’s brother will move to accommodations on the monarch’s private Sandringham estate. Nonetheless, Sarah, his former wife who has lived in the 30-bedroom Windsor mansion with him for years, will not be accompanying him.
It has been suggested that Sarah, who also lost her duchess title, will arrange her own living arrangements. Clarifying the decision, a friend of Sarah’s mentioned that the ex-duchess herself chose not to continue living with Andrew due to her own controversies linked to Epstein.
Appearing on Channel 5’s Vanessa program, Lizzie Cundy explained in seven words why Sarah decided not to stay with her ex-husband: “She doesn’t want to live with Andrew.” Lizzie added that Sarah wants to move on and put the past behind her, expressing regret for previous missteps, including apologizing to Epstein in a 2011 email.
The email referred to Epstein as her “supreme friend,” with Sarah’s spokesperson explaining it was sent out of fear of potential defamation lawsuits. Lizzie commented on the Channel 5 show, acknowledging the challenges Sarah has faced and recognizing her mistakes.
Sarah has maintained a low profile since the controversy surrounding her email to Epstein surfaced. Her future living arrangements post-departure from Royal Lodge remain undisclosed.
