Trent Alexander-Arnold expressed solidarity with Jamaica following the impact of Hurricane Melissa in the Caribbean. The powerful Category 5 storm hit near New Hope on Tuesday, bringing destructive winds of 185 miles per hour.

The aftermath led officials to declare Jamaica a “disaster area” as neighborhoods were left inundated and emergency teams worked to evaluate the extent of the destruction. Desmond McKenzie, Jamaica’s Disaster Risk Management Council deputy chairman, mentioned that parts of the island were submerged, and hospitals were reportedly without electricity.
