Malin + Goetz, a popular beauty brand, has entered administration, leading to the closure of its seven retail stores in the UK. These stores, located in various areas of London such as Seven Dials, Soho, Spitalfields, Islington, Canary Wharf, Battersea Power Station, and Borough Yards, are now shut down, affecting over 70 jobs.
Furthermore, the company has temporarily halted online orders. A notice on their website informs customers of this change and encourages them to explore the product collection, assuring a return to online operations soon.
Despite the store closures, consumers can still purchase Malin + Goetz items from third-party retailers like Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK. The brand spokesperson expressed regret over the impact on employees and customers but deemed the closure necessary after evaluating all options.
Although the website is expected to resume operations after a brief maintenance period, the exact duration remains uncertain. Founded in 2004 in New York by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, Malin + Goetz initially offered a limited range of skincare products but has since broadened its product line to include fragrances, body care, and other beauty essentials.
