“Dembele Roots for Mbappe’s Ballon d’Or Win”

Must read

Paris Saint-Germain’s talented player Ousmane Dembele expressed his desire for his former club teammate Kylian Mbappe to achieve the prestigious Ballon d’Or award. Mbappe and Dembele were once colleagues at PSG before Mbappe moved to Real Madrid a year later.

Dembele faced challenges in his first season at PSG but significantly improved after Mbappe’s departure. He showcased remarkable performance by scoring 35 goals in various competitions, including eight in the Champions League, and providing six assists to help his team secure the championship under coach Luis Enrique.

Although Dembele was recognized at the recent Ballon d’Or event, he believes Mbappe has the potential to achieve similar success. Mbappe, however, has never surpassed third place in the Ballon d’Or rankings, with Lionel Messi being the most recent recipient of the award in 2023.

Speaking about Mbappe, Dembele praised his talent and expressed hope for Mbappe’s future success. Mbappe has been in outstanding form in the current season, scoring 10 goals in La Liga and a total of 15 goals across all competitions, making him one of the top scorers in the Champions League after three rounds.

On the international stage, Mbappe’s goal-scoring prowess has been instrumental in France’s qualification journey for the 2026 World Cup. His consistent scoring record has significantly contributed to Les Bleus’ success, with their qualification for the upcoming tournament likely if they secure a victory against Ukraine.

Mbappe, who was the top scorer at the 2022 World Cup, continues to impress as he gears up to face Barcelona in the upcoming Clasico match for Real Madrid. His coach, Xabi Alonso, commended Mbappe’s form and emphasized his importance in the team’s success, highlighting the collective effort to enhance the team’s performance.

As Mbappe continues to shine on the field, his pursuit of the prestigious Ballon d’Or remains a focal point of his career aspirations.
