Steven Bartlett Joins Dragons’ Den as Millionaire Investor

Must read

Steven Bartlett has become widely recognized for his thriving business endeavors, podcast hosting, and television appearances. He is prominently featured as the lead figure in Diary of a CEO and serves as one of the Dragons on Dragons’ Den.

Having amassed a substantial net worth over the years, Steven gained entry to the BBC show in 2022. At 33 years old, he stands as one of the Dragons on the program, alongside Sara Davies, Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones, and Touker Suleyman, all of whom are also millionaires. Steven’s net worth is an impressive £71 million, accumulated through his diverse entrepreneurial ventures.

His early career involved co-founding the social media marketing company Social Chain, which faced accusations of content plagiarism and misrepresentation of its value. Subsequently, Steven established the media firm Flight Story, responsible for producing his renowned Diary of a CEO podcast. Reports from The Daily Mail indicated that Steven.com, the umbrella company for his ventures, was valued at $425 million (£320 million).

Following a substantial investment from venture capital firms Slow Ventures and Apeiron Investment, Steven’s other entities, FlightStory, FlightCast, and FlightFund, were integrated under Steven.com. FlightStory, in addition to producing his podcast, also oversees Davina McCall’s Begin Again show.

The Diary of a CEO podcast, produced by FlightStory, has garnered significant acclaim, winning the Best International Podcast award at the iHeart Radio podcast awards. However, Steven faced backlash on Dragons’ Den after investing in Ear Seeds, which made false claims about curing ME or chronic fatigue syndrome. In response to complaints, the BBC added a disclaimer to the episode discrediting the purported benefits of the product.

Among the millionaire investors on Dragons’ Den are Sara Davies, with a reported net worth of £37 million, Deborah Meaden with £50 million, Peter Jones as the wealthiest Dragon with £500 million, and Touker Suleyman, who has accumulated £200 million through his fashion businesses.
