Actress Prunella Scales, renowned for portraying Sybil in Fawlty Towers, has passed away at the age of 93. Known for her role as Basil Fawlty’s wife, she shared a six-decade marriage with fellow actor Timothy West until his passing in November last year.
The children of Prunella disclosed that she watched Fawlty Towers the day before her demise. Her family announced her peaceful passing at her London home, emphasizing her enduring love for the show despite battling dementia that led to her retirement after a remarkable 70-year acting career.
Prunella, married to Timothy West for 61 years, leaves behind two sons, a stepdaughter, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
