Marco Pierre White Jr has been sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison for a series of burglaries and shoplifting offenses. The Big Brother personality appeared at Isleworth Crown Court via video link to receive the sentence after admitting to the crimes earlier this year.
The son of the renowned Michelin star chef Marco Pierre White was in custody on remand for pleading guilty to four counts of burglary and one count of criminal damage in a crime spree across west London and Bath. Despite initially being present in court, Pierre White Jr chose to return to his cell before the sentence was delivered.
During the sentencing, Judge Edwards Connell labeled Pierre White Jr as a “prolific acquisitive offender” and described his actions as a “campaign of dishonesty” marked by “wilful” and “persistent” non-compliance with suspended sentences. The judge highlighted the defendant’s history of dishonesty, noting his breach of multiple suspended sentence orders.
Pierre White Jr’s barrister, Sean Sullivan, attributed the offenses to the star’s long-standing drug addiction, which worsened after the closure of his treatment center. Sullivan mentioned that Pierre White Jr resorted to theft to support his drug habit.
The crimes included breaking into a London gallery, causing extensive damage, and stealing valuable items. Pierre White Jr also stole various goods, including crystal formations and plush toys, from different locations. Additionally, he threatened a store employee and shoplifted hygiene products.
The court revealed that Pierre White Jr often relied on Lime Bikes for quick getaways after committing the offenses. He had previously confessed to the multiple charges before the recent sentencing hearing.
