Former reality TV personality Elliott Wright has announced the sale of his well-loved Spanish restaurant, Olivia’s La Cala. In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, the 45-year-old star revealed that he and his wife Sadie Stuart Wright have made the difficult decision to part ways with the popular establishment after nearly ten years of operation.
Reflecting on the journey, Elliott expressed gratitude for the experience of building Olivia’s against the odds in La Cala de Mijas. He acknowledged the range of emotions and challenges faced but emphasized the incredible moments and memories created during this chapter of his life.
The decision to sell Olivia’s stems from a desire to prioritize family commitments and the future of their children. Elliott shared that the family consensus led them to realize it was the right time to transition back to the UK after over two decades in Spain. The move aligns with their children’s aspirations and marks a significant shift in their lives.
Established in 2015 and named after his daughter, Olivia’s has become a go-to destination for celebrities and tourists alike. The venue has hosted numerous star-studded events, attracting Elliott’s former TOWIE co-stars and other notable personalities over the years.
The sale of Olivia’s La Cala includes the beachfront property, brand, and trademark, with the property set to go to auction through Bromley Estates Marbella, starting at €5 million. Interested buyers must submit bids by December 5 for consideration.
As Elliott bids farewell to Olivia’s, he fondly refers to the restaurant as his “passion” and “a love story” that has left an indelible mark on his life. Transitioning to a new chapter, he expressed gratitude for the memories created at Olivia’s and looks forward to passing the baton to the next owner.
